Austal leads the way into China

In July last year, as the historic return of Hong Kong to Chinese administration was taking place, the Western Australian shipyard, Austal Ships, quietly delivered its 27th and 28th high speed aluminium passenger catamarans for Chinese owners. By the end of 1997, the 29th, named Zhao Qing, had also been delivered demonstrating, beyond all doubt, that the company enjoys an on-going special relationship with Hong Kong and China.
