摘要

On 13 October last year I joined the Maersk Line container vessel Nedlloyd Drake as an extra third officer in Port Said, Egypt. Before joining, my fellow colleagues had told me that'the Drake'was a good ship, one of the best in the fleet. This was not because of the run but the people onboard. In need of a good start after my adventures with Air France on the journey out, I was not disappointed when I got onboard.
