People Are the Key

For the leaders of the U.S. sea services, their people are the key to mission success. That is why, for this special issue, Seapower decided to invite some of these people to tell their stories, to connect faces with the aircraft, ships, vehicles and other systems you typically read about each month. In the course of our interviews, we found common themes of pride in country, service and respect for those with whom they work. In his Jan. 13 blog post to his shipmates in the fleet, Chief of Naval Operations ADM Jonathan W. Greenert said, "The Navy's mandate is to be where it matters and be ready when it matters. We can only do this because of you.
