Researchers representing government science agencies, major universities, and research institutes, including Lawrence Livermore, have produced the most comprehensive report to date detailing how global climate change is likely to affect the nation. The report, Global Climate Change Impacts in the United States, provides current information on changes in temperatures, rainfall patterns, and sea level.rnLivermore physicist Benjamin Santer was a lead author of the report's first chapter. "This part of the report explains why climate is changing and how we know that we are the ones causing it," says Santer, who works in the Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison.
