Understanding the Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources Sustainability - AWWA's Climate Change Committee Report

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) Climate Change Subcommittee was created in August 2008 (and recently approved to be a full AWWA Committee). Its mission is to generate, review, report, and disseminate information on water supply planning and management relating to issues of climate change, both mitigation and adaptation, and to facilitate awareness among water utilities and the broader community. This paper is based on the Committee Report that is geared toward achieving the committee's goal to document the status of knowledge and describe current and future research activities that will enhance utilities' understanding of climate change impacts and mitigation / adaptation techniques.
