Technologies for CO_2 Reduction

With the aim of halving CO_2 emissions by 2050, each sector is taking measures to shift to new forms of energy and to improve energy efficiency. Efforts also need to be made in the private sector to enhance to energy measures conservation.rnAn international agreement to halve global greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 was reached at the G8 summit held at Heiligendamm in June 2007. In Japan, RITE conducted an analysis of the situation based on the energy system model, DNE21+, in parallel with the agreement, and recommended specific technical measures for reducing CO_2 emissions 50% from current level by 2050.
