The North American B-25 Mitchell is one of those iconic aircraft of the Second World War that is extremely popular with aviation enthusiasts and model builders alike.lt saw widespread use throughout the war on all fronts and continued to serve in air forces around the world well after the conflict ended. It is perhaps best known for the dramatic raid in which a squadron of B-25s, led by Lt Col Jimmy Doolittle, launched from the deck of the USS Hornet in April 1942 to attack the city of Tokyo, thereby taking the war to the Japanese homeland. It should come as no surprise that a model of this airplane has been around in one form or another for decades, and that many a model builder would wish to have one these kits on his shelf.
