A large number of maritime publications land on SASI's desk every month, but rarely has one arrived with such a thud, or so long after it was first printed. The book in question is the succinctly named Collisions at Sea -How? and it certainly does tell the reader exactly 'how': 96 separate incidents are analysed in detail in a tome that runs to more than 900 pages and weighs close to 3kg.
