Thousands of dead seahorses were found in a mis-manifested container at New Jersey, US, in early April. The (unnamed) importer faces a $10,000 fine and possibly a jail term.rnUS Customs & Border -Protection (CBP) revealed that the illicit cargo was found at the Elizabeth Seaport in a container inbound for Elmhurst, New York, from China. Because the cargo was manifested as "food and candy", CBP targeted the box to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
