Two signatures on an official audit of the condition of the Tongan ferry Princess Ashika were falsified, the Supreme Court in Nukualofa, Tonga heard in February.rnThe trial of the Shipping Corporation of Polynesia (SCP), its former managing director John Jonesse, the acting Tongan marine director Viliami Tu'ipulotu, master Makahokovalu Tuputupu and first mate Semisi Pomale began in February. They face charges of manslaughter by negligence over the death of passenger Vae Fetu'u Taufa - whose body was one of just two that was recovered following the ferry sinking - and additional counts relating to the sinking.
