New building boost for Plymouth

Plymouth University's new marine building has become the hub of the city's maritime training initiatives. Recently opened by HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, the E19M ($30M) building contains what is claimed to be the UK's most sophisticated wave tanks in its Coastal Ocean And Sediment Transport (COAST) laboratory and a new Marine Navigation Centre equipped with ship simulator and electronic chart workstations.
