E-Learning maritime training solutions provider Videotel has launched its 500th computer-based training (CBT) e-learning course: 'The work of the emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV)'. The course covers the crew's key objectives as well as emergency procedures when operating ERRVs in global offshore oil and gas fields and also details the vessels' day-to-day operational function. "CBT is an extremely popular and important method of training, and our commitment to this medium is clear to see with the launch of our 500th title in this format," said Nigel Cleave, CEO of the company, which was established in 1973 and is now a subsidiary of US-based KVH.
