Influence of Natural Polysaccharides on Aggregation of Aqueous Protein Dispersions

The kinetics of aggregation of aqueous protein dispersions under the action of flocculants,natural polysaccharides(cationic chitosan and anionic sodium alginate),were studied turbidimetrically in relation to the protein:polysaccharides ratio in the solution and the pH value.Sodium alginate and chitosan were tested in treatment of wastewater from the flotation processing of hydrobiontics.
