Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kistyakovskii is among the prominent Russian natural scientists of the late XIX and early XX centuries.He made a major contribution to the understanding of the nature of electrolyte solutions and to the theory of corrosion and metal protection;he was a versatile physical chemist and elec-trochemist.
