Academician Vladimir Alekseevich Kirillin (in Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of His Birthday)

On January 20, 2013, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the Academician V.A. Kirillin, a great scientist in the field of thermal physics and power engineering, an outstanding statesman of our country, and the founder of the journal Teploenergetika.Kirillin began his career in 1929 as a locksmith at the Moscow Electrical Works. In 1931 he entered the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MEI), where he studied first in in-service education form in the evening and then in the full-day department of the MEI's Thermal Engineering Faculty.
