More and more disputes over payment are being referred to adjudication, hardly surprising in this economic climate. This is due to claimants needing to ease cashflow problems in their own businesses as speedily as possible and an understandable fear that parties withholding payments may become insolvent in the future making it practically impossible for outstanding sums to be recovered.
