If a party commits a breach of contract, the other party to that contract will be entitled to compensation for any resultant losses, but it will not usually be entitled to treat the contract asrnhaving been terminated.rnHowever, if one party commits a 'repudiatory' breach of contract, the other will be entitled to treat the contract as having been terminated and claim damages for any associated losses.
