It's a complex area: When two or more architects gather together it's not long before the conversation turns to the perceived over-regulation of design and procurement. Sometimes the talk is about specific bugbears like frustrations with the validation of planning applications, but there is also a general sense that the legal and regulatory framework in which we operate is evermore complex and perplexing.
