Dr Alexandra Stara (Chair) is reader in the history and theory of architecture at the School of Architecture and Landscape, Kingston University. She is a qualified architect with masters degrees from UCL and Cambridge University, and a doctorate in art history from Oxford University. She has lectured and published internationally for 20 years on the hermeneutics of art, contemporary architecture and the modern museum. She is writing Killing Art to Make History, a monograph on the Museum of French Monuments, to appear by Ashgate in 2013.
