A Hardening Penetration Depth Evaluation technique using eddy current has been developed, which can be used instead of destructive inspection. This non-destructive technique measures permeability, and the difference between hardened structure and non-hard structure. The advantage of this technique is that it allows the visualization of the quenching pattern.
