Excess baggage pricing at check-in desk and self-service kiosk

A solution is disclosed enabling airline agents who accept passenger's baggage at the airport to automatically calculate fees due for any piece, weight, or size exceeding passenger's free baggage allowance and to collect payment directly at the check-in counter. Most importantly, such automatic caiculation ensures full compliancy, for the customer airline, with key industry regulations (a.k.a RESO302, USDOT, CADOT regulations) and obligations in terms of ATPCO filing, as source of excess baggage fees. On top of it, this solution guarantees smooth reporting and revenue accounting through issuance of EMD, even in complex interline cases, where no agreement between partner airlines exists.
