The Encyclopedia of Populism in America has 330 articles about the underdogs, not just from the specific populism era but all of US history, in either an electronic, as here reviewed, or hard copy (two-volume) set. Regional differences are covered. The writers are both professional historians and independent scholars (most appropriate for a work on populism). Like all ABC-Clio books, it is easy to navigate between the index and the indexed materials, between sections and entries.
