BARGAIN HUNT

Every year our club organises the bring 'n' buy at the Southern Model Show. It's hard work but lots of fun. It must be fun because we never seem to have a shortage of volunteers willing to help over the two-day event. The chance to clear out some stuff and grab a bargain might be the main incentive but, annoyingly, I often find I'm too busy to pounce when something nice is booked in for sale. Mind you, sellers never cease to amaze and amuse. The sheer variety of models, radios, engines and accessories that change hands is impressive and the quality varies from 'really nice' to the airframes you'd struggle to describe as ground worthy, let alone airworthy.
