SOME 26 years after it first appeared, the Freightliner triple grey livery is now extinct following the repainting of 90048 at Wolverton Works. Having arrived on March 29, the loco underwent attention to bodywork corrosion before receiving Freightliner's current orange and black scheme. Released back to Crewe on June 7, 90010 has taken its place. While derelict 90050 technically still retains the livery, it had the red triangle logos and lettering painted over some years ago. Repainted in Railfreight triple grey at Eastleigh Works, 66794 was initially given a Construction sub-sector logo on one side as part of its naming ceremony, Steve Hannam having been instrumental in the introduction of the Foster Yeoman Class 59s back in the 1980s. Prior to release, Petroleum logos were put in place on both sides. At Doncaster Roberts Road, another 'newbie', 66797, has received brandings on its previous plain blue livery, these being for both GBRf and Beacon Rail.
