The West Somerset Railway plans to build a four-coach unstaffed halt at Norton Fitzwarren in time for the August 1/2 Steam Fayre. The ORR has approved the proposals for the station so the project has moved onto the planning approval stage.rnIt will be built on the trackbed of the original Down line constructed in 1936 but lifted in the 1970s and will be the 11th station on the 22-mile line, giving the WSR more stations in Somerset than Network Rail!
