'Scot' to power 'Train of Hope'

West Coast Railways' 'Rebuilt Scot' 46115 Scots Guardsman has been selected as power for a special charity train from Crewe to Carlisle on October 1. The special, which will be routed over the Settle & Carlisle line, has been organised by a team of Manchester Virgin Trains drivers to raise money for CLIC Sargent. This charity is supported by Virgin Trains, and provides care and support for children diagnosed with cancer. Colleagues in the wider rail industry have been supportive, as have those in other parts of the Virgin Group. Many have supplied prizes for a raffle which will be drawn in September.
