Michael owen has returned 20205 to main line registration after a thorough overhaul at Swanwick on the Midland Railway Butterley. The loco made its debut on February 7 with 20189 on a Chaddesden-Peak Forest trip. The loco is jointly owned by Mr Owen and the Class 20 Locomotive Society (CTLS) - which owns main line registered 20227 and preserved 8001 - and it joins his other two Class 20s, 20142/189 in being available for spot hire. The day after the main line run, 20205 was given an impromptu running day at Butterley when it worked with 20189 and 20048 on five trips. These were the first passenger trips it had worked since March 41989 when, along with 37229, it assisted the 2020 Euston-Stranraer forward from Ayr after a Class 47 failed.
