Project Completion Report - Increase Capacity Of The Tangier - Marrakech Railroad

The African Development Bank has released for public disclosure, the project completion report for Morocco’s, Tangier - Marrakech Railroad. The project sector objective was focused on the continued upgrading and modernisation of transport infrastructure and services with a view to increasing the logistics competitiveness of the national economy. More specifically, the project’s objective was to meet goods and passenger traffic demand on the main Tangier-Marrakech railway line from 2016. To achieve these objectives, two components were planned. First, to increase the capacity of the Kenitra-Casablanca railway line, followed by increasing the capacity of the Settat- Marrakech railway line.
