The timetable change on December 9 will finally see the launch of Fyra International high speed services between Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Brussels. Readers with long memories may recall that when the AnsaldoBreda V250 trainsets were ordered by the KLM-NS High Speed Alliance and SNCB back in 2004, services on HSL-Zuid had been expected to begin in April 2007.
