BTP investigates Brexit-linked objects on the line

Brexit protesters are believed to have been behiind the placing of objects on the line, with the intention of causing "significant sabotage and disruption" to the network. The British Transport Police confirmed it is investigating two malicious obstructions that occurred on the railway near Yaxley (Cambridgeshire) on March 21 and Netherfield (near Nottingham) on March 27. On both occasions, Network Rail staff identified the devices.
