Southern has launched public consultation on proposals to end the through Ashford International -Brighton service as part of proposed changes to the East Coast-way timetable to be introduced in December 2010.rnThe hourly semi-fast service, which calls at nine of the 24 intermediate stations, was introduced in December 2005, following pressure for more through trains. Historically, the service had been split at Hastings, although some electric trains ran through to the end of the third rail at Ore.
