IEP review to report this week

Former Audit Commission Chief Executive Sir Andrew Foster is expected to deliver the report on his independent assessment of the value for money of DfT's Intercity Express Programme by the end of this week. The review also includes an assessment of 'the credibility and value for money of any alternatives which meet the programme's objectives'.rnSupported by HS2 Ltd Chief Engineer Professor AndrewrnMcNaughton and former Virgin West Coast Fleet Director Ross Spicer, Foster has consulted widely across the railway industry. In addition to DfT officials responsible for IEP procurement, his team has interviewed train manufacturers, operators, rolling stock leasing companies and other industry experts.
