Transport Minister Norman Baker announced on November 15 that agreement had been reached between DfT, HS1 Ltd and Southeastern for the operation of a half-hourly service on Boxing Day between Ashford and St Pancras, calling at Ebbsfleet and Stratford International.While the national rail network normally shuts down on December 25 and 26, there are exceptions such as Gatwick Express and a limited service on Southern. Eurostar also operates a near-normal service over HS1, but there will be no other Southeastern services on December 26.
