Serco makes progress

According to a trading update published on December 7, Serco Group plc is expecting to report revenue of £3.5bn in 2015. Based on trading to the end of November and the forecast for December, an underlying trading profit of £95m is expected in 2015. Underlying operating profit excludes releases or charges arising from onerous contract provisions, as well as 'other contract and balance sheet review adjustments'. It also excludes the beneficial treatment of depreciation and amortisation of assets held for sale, 'and any other one-time items'.
