Station work starts at Ilkeston

Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin visited Ilkeston on March 6 to officially mark the start of construction of the new station for the town, located between Nottingham and Langley Mill on the Erewash Valley line. With site clearance already underway, demolition of the old station building, closed in 1950, is now in progress.
