Angel refinances Aventra fleet

Angel Trains Group announced on December 6 that it had secured £83 5m of new funding to refinance procurement of 665 Bombardier Aventra EMU cars being leased to Greater Anglia from 2019 (RB1516 p4). Arranged directly by Angel, the senior debt has been raised from 'a diverse group of lenders with a maturity longer than the initial franchise term', says the ROSCO, and has been placed outside the credit-rated group.
