Radiodays Europe and Canterbury Tales

The theme for the 2019 Radiodays Europe was Sound Matters, the Future of Audio. This conference grows annually, with around 1,600 delegates from 60 countries in the audio and radio industries attending. Engineers, presenters, producers, innovators, suppliers, software houses, station directors and marketing gurus were all to be found soaking up the creative atmosphere at the SwissTech Convention Center. This year's conference opening was preceded by performances from horn players and singers to promote the Swiss Fete des Vignerons (Winegrowers' Festival), which takes place from July 18th to August 11th (Fig. 1). This style of traditional Swiss folk music can be heard, for example, on Radio SRF Musikwelle.
