Sir, Review of epidemiology studies of childhood leukaemia near nuclear facilities: commentary on Laurier et al

We conclude, contrary to Laurier el a/. that most of their multi-site studies indicate increased incidences of childhood leukaemias near nuclear facilities worldwide. The findings from our examination of their data sets accord with the available meta-analysis, with Koerblein and Hoffman's study, with three more recent studies, and with the KiKK study. The copious evidence indicating increased leukaemia rates near nuclear facilities, specifically in young children, is quite convincing, at least to independent observers.
