LIGHT FLIGHT

Although when you read this we are on the brink of moving undercover for indoor flying sessions, I want to wind down the outdoor season with a quick look at a couple of cracking micro aerobatic models. These are likely to be a bit 'hot' for indoor use, although if you have ailerons you can get away with a lot indoors. I've flown every one of my E-flite UMX micro scale models and all the Flyzone micro scale models indoors. Some were easier than others and models like the E-flite Mosquito and the Flyzone P-38 Lightning had to be handled with care. These two needed quite a high flying speed to be held on the corners to avoid stalling but could be slowed down on the straights. I'll move on to these after a couple of reflections on the full size display scene.
