Anyone who knows me well knows I'm a huge de Havilland Mosquito anorak. In my view it was the greatest multi-role aircraft ever built! There are now only two flying Mosquitoes left; a Mosquito B35, VR796, which recently flew in Canada and KA114, a Mosquito FB26 that first flew in 2012. Of the two Mosquitoes, KA114 is the only one that is regularly flying. I first saw KA114 in 2013 at the Canadian Warbirds Heritage Museum's Hamilton Airshow. I decided it was time to see her again and where better than on home turf at Virginia Beach. I decided to go to the Military Aviation Museum's show, Warbirds Over The Beach. I planned to arrive there on the Thursday in time for the first practice day and stay for the whole weekend.
