The seemingly free-form curves of Denver's new Union Station Train Hall aren't as complex as they look. Eleven steel arch trusses span nearly 180 feet from a single, large-diameter pin connection to support tensioned PTFE fabric. Each truss is defined by just two radii, which eliminated three-dimensional work point schedules and electronic model exchange. Similarly, the inner oculus is comprised of tubes curved in a single plane and then rotated in space to form a three-dimensional curve.
