How Paradise is taking shape in the heart of Birmingham

Paradise isn't a word often associated with Britain's second city, but it is hoped that soon Paradise Birmingham, one of the most significant office-led projects in the city's history, will be something of the sort for the city centre workers who occupy it, The scheme is being delivered by the Paradise Circus Limited Partnership (PCLP), aJV between Birmingham City Council and Hermes Investment Management, and will, it is hoped, reshape and revive a large swathe of the city centre. The construction of phase one - on which Hermes has partnered with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board - began in 2015. The first phase comprises 1.6m sq ft of office accommodation as well as 400,000 sq ft of hotel, retail, leisure and cultural space.
