Italy's Illy serves up espressos in debut West End cafe

Italian coffee maker Espressamente Illy has agreed to open its first standalone cafe, which will be a flagship for the brand, in London's West End. Trieste-based Illy is to open at 295 Regent Street. It has signed a new lease with Great Portland Estates, paying £250,000 a year. The retail unit is within the 33 Margaret Street development, the offices of which are let to Savills. The cafe will sell Illy coffee alongside a selection of Italian food, as well as a selection of Illy machines and products.
