Gatwick airport has been a significant contributor to the economies of the "Gatwick Diamond"area that reaches from Crawley south to Brighton and the surrounding region. Since BAA's announcementthat it was to sell Gatwick in December 2008, we have been eager to see the sale complete. Finally, last month Global Infrastructure Partners brought an end to that uncertainty - at least in terms of ownership.
