Twenty14 picks up the tab for Edinburgh's Caledonian hotel

In the UK's largest regional hotel sale in a year, Abu Dhabi-based Twenty14 Holdings has acquired the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh -The Caledonian hotel for £85m, The 241-room hotel (pictured), which underwent a £24m refurbishment in 2012, will continue to operate under the Waldorf Astoria brand. The Caley, as it is commonly known, offers two restaurants operated by Michelin-starred brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin and is home to the UK's only Guerlain Spa, as well as a gym.
