Autumn Statement boosts builders

Mid-priced housebuilders and healthcare REITs were among the biggest listed property company winners in last week's Autumn Statement. Shares in housebuilder Barratt (below) and Taylor Wimpey jumped by 3.7% and 3.2% respectively after the chancellor announced an overhaul of stamp duty. Of the listed property developers, analysts said residential REITs Quintain and Conygar stood to benefit most from the reforms.
