FIVE JOURNEYS TO THE FUTURE OF WORK

I haven't had an office job in more than two years. Instead, I choose a new place every few months and work on client projects using the huge range of online tools that are specifically designed to help people like me. I could be in Birmingham, Barcelona or even Bali and, for the most part, it really doesn't matter where I am. To many people, this makes me a 'digital nomad'. I'm not particularly fond of the term, but it means I'm part of a group that will swell to one billion by the year 2035, according to the founder of online resource hub Nomad List. Even if this number is wide of the mark, I have come to realise what a massive phenomenon this already is.
