The authors' answers to the discussion by Dr. Shinozaki are as follows. 1. Dr. Shinozaki is misunderstanding the interpretation of the data that the authors presented in the paper. 2. The random decrement technique is prevailing so widely among researchers concerned that it is not always required to be identified. The theory of the technique makes it possible to be applied to ambient vibration; that is why the technique is supported by so many researchers. 3.
