California Raisins and Feeding America This past falls campaign with Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, allowed the California Raisin Marketing Board (CRMB) to connect with moms - our target audience - on an emotional level surrounding the serious issue of childhood hunger which affects more than 12.5 million U.S. children. National and local-market media coverage was received related to the three elements of CRMB's Feeding America campaign: a partnership with television actress and host of "The Biggest Loser," Alison Sweeney, a monetary donation to Feeding America, and a donation of a semi-truck load of California Raisin snack packs to Fresno Community Food Bank's Nutrition on Wheels program, to be followed by bulk raisin donations.
