摘要

A procedure is proposed for enhancement of the hydrologic safety of entities in the tail races of dams.The increase in the number of extremely high floods and high water, which has been observed in recent decades is attracting ever-increasing attention of engineerings and scientists to the problem of reliable assessment of maximum-runoff parameters. Such an assessment is of particular necessity for the design of new hydroprojects and verification of the level of hydrologic safety at existing water-development works, and persons living in the bottom lands along the tail races of dams.
